Incidentally I think one of the things 1 actually does do better than 2 is tying the mechanics and the narrative together. 1 has probably the most harmony between the story and gameplay of any RPG I have ever played, while 2 lost that a bit, like with the way it handles boss fights you are supposed to lose or the way ~~visions~~ are handled between both games. --- I just decided to change this sig.
