Ive watched this intro four times now and I can honestly say I have no idea what this show is about. Thats not to say its a weird intro. Its actually extremely conventional, with a series of random clips and nothing particularly out of the ordinary. But theres no apparent connection between any of the clips. Its mostly just showing a bunch of characters that I can barely tell apart, who I have no reason to care about without having seen the show. And theres no cohesive setting or theme that jumps out to give me a clue. What little I could award for Story is based solely on my impression these characters are on the verge of some massive battle, which could easily be the description for hundreds of shows.

The theme song didnt work for me, sounding at times like a bad attempt to imitate Rage Against the Machine. In fact, it doesnt feel like the song even suits much of this intro. While the music is clearly going for intensity, theres not that much action throughout the sequence (aside from the occasional explosion). Often its just characters standing around not doing anything. And at one point, theres even a serene forest with leaves blowing by for a few seconds.

The animation was mostly average, but at times the visuals were so dark and murky that it was tough to even see what was going on.

So yeah, this didnt work for me.
