I started reading 21 Rules or whatever his book was called. I lost interest a little less than halfway through, but it didn't seem overtly right wing to me. I was surprised to see he was the chosen intellectual of the alt-right.

He's the guy all the nazi's hide behind to act like they aren't nazis.

Outside of the stuff he actually preaches, he pushes some major conservative talking points and does the same "the left is the cause of all your problems" except sometimes he uses a different word for the "left".
