As an alternative to waterboarding, the government could simply force suspected terrorists to watch this intro over and over again to break them. It probably wouldnt take long.

Im not sure what I disliked most about this intro. It could be that its like taking in a dozen Pixy Stix through your eyeballs, leaving you with the horrific afterimage of brightly colored grinning animals no matter how often you blink. It could be the way youre left hearing happy happy over and over again in your most private moments, even when theres no longer any music playing. Or maybe its the entire sequence from start to finish, which I can only assume is what the girl from The Exorcist watched moments before her head started spinning.

Theres basically nothing resembling a story here, just a bunch of characters with only the faintest hint of a nose smiling incessantly. Even if you were familiar with the show enough to know something about the characters, they simply arent doing anything. In fact, most of the sequence comes across like a commercial for some toy rather than an intro to a show.

All I can say for this intro is the animation isnt that bad. In fact, I would have given this a higher Animation score if not for the fact that multiple portions of the intro are just slowly changing stills of the characters that arent actually animated. But even at its best, the character designs are simplistic and generic.

And thats all I care to say about Happy Tinkle.
