There's a 2x bonus to EXP when you level another class as long as you have another at higher level. And you unlock more resources to stack bonus on top like squadron manuals, efficient sources like PotD, and other stuff. If you're bummed that you look hideous while leveling just know that fashion is the true endgame of FF14 by design.
