| Evillordexdeath 06/06/20 9:49:54 PM #129: | I got roped into an overtime shift tonight, which turned a weekend where I was hoping to finish ME1 and make some headway in the second game into one where I'll be lucky to complete the Virmire section. Finished off Noveria today. After the build-up for Matriarch Benezia, the fight itself can't help but feel like a case of story-gameplay disconnect (or 'ludonarrative dissonance if you insist.) An Asari Matriarch is one of the wisest and most powerful creatures in the galaxy, or so Shepard says, but once she became vulnerable (you have to take down some minions before you're allowed to hurt her) I killed her in one Assassinate-empowered shot. If there are any ME veterans reading this, is the Sniper Rifle this OP in the later games? I feel like I should change classes in ME2 for the sake of more challenge. For what it's worth, if the AI would just move around a little more I imagine I'd be ham-handed enough with the aim that it wouldn't feel so strong. More interesting than Benezia was the encounter with the Rachni Queen. Of course I chose to free her. Besides the Paragon points, it's just more interesting story-wise to have her still roaming around. --- I'm playing every game from GotD 2020!
