mom comes home for work............. immediately get her to play a game of backgammon because it's like a favourite of all time of hers that she used to play with my dad, tho I've only played it once in my life

it's hilarious how much she's strategizing and everything just like when she played the physical board... even though the game shows you exactly what you can move and where so you don't have to do the counting yourself. she so mad tho she lost in her game :D close tho, she was 2 pieces from winning but it was a long decided loss unless some miracle double

next played some yahtzee, mom one that one thanks to a late-game Large Straight, but even without it wasn't looking like I'd win either :(

tiebreaker was checkers and I was actually kept on edge for the first have, it was likely she could win until we got to the kings, I kinged first and then after she got hers I forced it into sacrifice......... the best ending came shortly after as she focused so hard on getting a new king she didn't pay attention to the rest of her pieces



I was late to screenrecording so you'll have to settle with a description from my follow-up, but that bottom left piece is what she was focusing to king, as you can tell just before my punish that's rolling out there, she moved her Bottom-Left red to where it is now (from the only place it could've come from obv), so focused on getting her new king and realizing the B7 space was a safe path to it she didn't realize the danger she left her other pieces

but the real kicker was the final trap she's left with the moment she gets her king

we both cracked up on the realization that she gets what she wants and then she's immediately stuck in a deathlock funtimes with me mum ending that tiebreaker before bed
