I burned through several mediocre office chairs using the "try it in the store" method until I finally decided to throw the cash down for a refurbished Herman Miller and holy shit it's so amazing. By reputation I'm not going to need another chair for the next ~15 years too with this so honestly the money difference is probably less than you'd think. i'm not sure the economics work out.
