I think it's pretty natural to harbor feelings like that Oh, definitely. I didn't say it was an easy task. It's not impossible tho. And if he can do that with his dad, it sets him up to do well with others who try to get under his skin. It sucks to have to emotionally disconnect from family. But it doesn't suck more than some of the alternatives.
