You are well aware that it is not "one officer" that did something across the country. This is a systematic problem, I think even you would be willing to admit that.

What is your objection to taking the particular action I mentioned earlier?

Do you not see how that would help bring about a positive attitude change? That would look good to your community, and help grow trust between civilians and police. Coordinating with your fellow officers would help protect you from facing dangerous pushback from the system. You could stand for what's right, be a part of something bigger in a positive way, for a very small amount of effort.
