Going back to The Last of Us, even discounting all the social justice nonsense, that stat calculation is somewhat faulty because Arkham City and TLOU were both in the same division, and said division also featured the #1 game according to the stats, Chrono Trigger. I think the stats have Chrono Trigger getting something like 54% on Ocarina, so it's possible that the entire division is overvalued in the stats due to CT being so far out in front without any real evidence for it. Maybe CT scored all those blowouts because its opposition was weak, kind of like Mario Odyssey this contest?

Maybe FFX has really declined that much. I mean, Tidus completely embarrassed himself last contest, and Auron did worse against Snake than he indirectly got in 2010 since they were in the same division, and no one would sensibly claim Snake didn't decline in strength since then. Oh, and Auron did worse against Sub-Zero in 2018 than he did in 2006, and Yuna got punked by a character she had beaten before, albeit in lol four-ways.
