WWE is a backwards company in a lot of ways, but they will stand up for their talent on this issue. As far as the match goes, I never really thought of Last of Us as a threat to Dark Souls. I just figured Dark Souls was the more influential and decade-defining game, which you could tell even before the contest with all of the Souls family games sporting high seeds, winnable matches, and sheer quantity of entrants (Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Dark Souls III, Sekiro). That just doesn't happen on accident, and I was so dismissive of TLOU that I didn't even bother checking the leaderboard to see if I cracked into the Top 50 after the match, which thanks to Xenoblade and Dark Souls, I did end up creeping on there until Witcher's inevitable victory over Skyrim. --- Agent Triple Zero at your service!
