I'll never understand the Pokemon fanbase.HG/SS is a weird-looking entrant, I'll give it that. That said, HG/SS support didn't pop out of nowhere. It's is one of the fanbase's most universally respected titles; you don't hear Pokemon fans shit talking HG/SS, its broad swathe of new and/or imrpoved features, its nearly complete dex, or even the Pokewalker, the 'lite Pokemon GO'. It's still a Pokemon game and carries the flaws of such. If you didn't like the series, this one won't change your opinion.
