#189:

Division 7 Semifinal: (3)Batman: Arkham City vs (2)The Last of Us

(3)Arkham City - 10919 [44.76%]
(2)The Last of Us - 13475 [55.24%]
Total Votes - 24394
Prediction Percentage - 58.13%

For anyone who still thought The Last of Us had a prayer to beat Dark Souls, this match was a good indicator that it was completely screwed. By now, it was clear that Dark Souls had boosted. The Last of Us, meanwhile, didn't move in strength much if at all between 2015 and 2020.

Batman: Arkham City (2015g) VS The Last of Us (2015g)

Batman: Arkham City has a strength of 25.17.
The Last of Us has a strength of 27.36.

The Last of Us wins with 54.00% of the vote!
A win of 4,873 with 60,875 total votes cast.

The Last of Us did as expected here against Batman, but it needed to do so much more than "as expected" given Dark Souls wasn't playing around this year. On top of that, one would assume that The Last of Us 2 hype would help out the original in this contest -- we've seen sequel hype matter a lot in the past -- but it simply wasn't materializing this contest for The Last of Us.

And all that has to be taken into account ''before'' "it" happened. See the date on this poll? April 26th, 2020? Learn that date, because 4/26/2020 is the last day in human history where The Last of Us, Sony, or Naughty Dog would have any respect whatsoever. On April 27th, that would all change.
