Divisions by era was very convenient for it to make contests, since it would easily get more nominations than a lot of its contemporaries from that time, but then it probably gets stuck against something with a bigger name that would SFF it to the ground, like Mario. It's only real shot was Donkey Kong in 04, and it just couldn't get the job done. These days, it's just not going to get the nominations to make a 128 games bracket sans restrictions. Maybe if we expanded Game of the 90s to something like '85-'99, it might have a chance, but I opted to push for '90-'99 when suggesting a retro contest because I always feared we'd get more bad fodder from that time period than we would get games worth the trouble. --- Agent Triple Zero at your service!
