Hatch-back, actually, circa 2007 make. The newer the car, the powerful the engine, the insurance cost is more, naturally, but there are a buttload of insurance agencies competing with each other. Plus, insurance price drops with experience (i.e., how many years you are driving) and how accident prone you are (the less accidents you've been throughout the years, the less you have to pay). So, for example, my father only pays 50 EUR per year (experience is over 40+ years of driving). The max. price for my car's insurance was maybe 150 EUR.

I don't know whether there is such a thing as bycyle insurance in my country... But I'd not be surprised, if it does not even cost 20 eur.
In my province the government borrows from the insurance corporation, and never pays back, so insurance is almost always raising prices. They just redid the system in September and its killing new drivers.
