Like yeah she was aggressive and yes she did pick that huge thing up but with how she was struggling, he could have and should have defended himself in a less potential death inducing way.

She was clearly threatening and started to swing the thing at him, it's ridiculous to act like he's supposed to wait to see how hard she can hit him with it before he defends himself from an obviously telegraphed attack coming at him.
