Just my opinion, but as someone who initially ignored FFIX when played through the series when they were new, it has quickly become my second favourite FF (behind only Tactics). Hm, well, it's definitely subjective. I thought that Vivi and Steiner's arcs were good but I wasn't really impressed with any of the other characters. The minigames also just seemed super tedious to me.
