A good intro for a TV show is a lot like good cover art. It has to grab your interest right away and give you some idea what to expect even if you know nothing going in. And the best of intros can tell you a meaningful story within the span of about a minute.

To keep this at least partly objective, I will be ranking intros based on these criteria: (1) originality, (2) story, (3) music (not just the quality of the theme song, but also how well the music sets the tone and goes with the visuals), and (4) how much I liked the intro personally. Generally, intros that are just a series of clips from the show are going to score poorly, although there are always exceptions.

You may nominate up to four intros for either animated or live action shows. You should post a YouTube link for each intro. Nominations will automatically end whenever this reaches 100 intros, unless I decide to expand it.

As I always do with rankings, I plan to finish the write-ups before posting. So it could be a little while before a ranking topic goes up.
