I always found it weird that outsiders think most of these results are a "GameFAQs only" thing. Outside of a few close matches flipping the only major differences I see are games like Fortnite or Dota 2 having strength (and even then it depends on the site) and Uncharted 4 defeating Mario Kart 8.

The biggest difference would be Division 4 with Persona 4 losing to Red Dead Redemption and Overwatch defeating Xenoblade and Three Houses.

A lot of people attack GameFAQs for not representing the "universal" gaming opinion but truth is that whatever community they belong to probably doesn't represent it either.

The only way to make a contest where the global opinion was represented would be to have samples from every gaming community out there, and also from gamers who don't go to the internet to talk about them.

I assume Animal Crossing would be winning the contest in that case.

That's also why rallies are a poor way to "punish gameFAQs for being niche", because it just replaces one niche for another.
