People drinking water are not supporting alcoholism because they're not drinking alcohol. People allowing politicians who commit sexual assault (Biden and Trump) to come to power despite said allegations...ARE therefore supporting sexual assault by saying that it's okay. People who drink water don't see themselves as supporting alcoholism. If you tell them they actually do support alcoholism, do you think they will believe you? It's more likely they will just ignore everything you have to say. If you follow up with a carefully researched study about the dangers of alcoholism and how we can combat it, but you lead with, anyone who drinks water supports alcoholism, no one will pay any attention to your study.
