There's no "meant path" in that game, after getting magnesis, the bombs and the ice block powers, you can literally do any of the 4 beasts in any order. Game does seem to suggest a path though. I get what you are saying cause i didnt do anything fancy to sequence break but even in games with no defined order there is usually the "easy" path --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!"
