And I would actually go against your assessment, as I think the second entire in both of those are a bit weaker than the first! yeah, it's an unpopular opinion but i like batman begins better. but the difference is pretty small. i'd say batman begins is a 10 and the dark knight is a 9.5. (the dark knight rises is like... an 8. still good, it just has a lot of weird little things that it make it significantly worse than the first two.) i thought the godfather 2 was a bit too long and the pacing was kinda weird. still great but i do think 1 is slightly better. And in the case of Godfather 3 that's not weaker, that's just straight up awful. People pretend that movie doesn't even exist, it's full Crystal Skull. eh, i think it's underrated. i still like it and i don't think it's as much of a departure from what made the franchise great as kingdom of the crystal skull was. i'll admit that a lot of the appeal for me is that it's another movie in the godfather universe, though. if it were a standalone movie, i'd probably like it way less. --- Geothermal terpsichorean ejectamenta ...
