What a lively beginning...! Cool orchestral hits and drum patterns right off the bat. Its full of energy, especially that violin melody at 0:23. Dorian/Natural minor combination doesnt hurt: it always seems to make music more folksie. The synth pads, with their slowly changing harmonies, underneath all the folksie stuff is really nice. I enjoy the middle sections starting about 1:19 nice and smooth contrast. Drums are really nice there starting about 1:34. 2:23 has nifty rolled guitar chords (cluster chords) alongside the chants. 2:56 is good because the energized violin melody comes back, but now its in the background as those, um, reed-like instruments take the spotlight. At 3:19 we finally hit the climax hey, the key change at 3:35 was done really well. 3:53 drums make me feel so good! From there the music gets to ride smooth for a while. --- "Ah, a party!
