i am in space and i am walking!!! guess how i am walking. i am walking long + long + a little short + short + long + long + a little short + short + (long on triplets x3) because i like this song!!! this song is the kind of song that makes me want to dance but instead of dancing like of a normal song i do a normal dance move and then speed it up by x3 on one of the beats to match it up. I like that kind of thing happening a lot. intro of the song where its like actually in over the bassline but the melody itslef is like moving just a LITTLE bit too fsat and then the gap at the end when it tries to catch the downbeat is just a LITTLE earlier than i expect it and its nice and glorious and makes me falll on my face
i love the sound design of thunder force four all the instruments sound like youre in space and floating (space walking) and the thing i love a lot about this games sounds is the percussion hit that is featured in the intro prominently and throughout...that static-y wall of sound as a drum is so lovely. another really cool thing this has is this tiny accompaniment that is in an upper register...in the beginning..it has this kind of echoey effect as it plays like a pentatonic scale that ends like a major scale (???idk music theory) and that changes with the chords to be in the same place and when there are more than one chord in a measure it does just THREE notes and walks it up or down which is really cool and music.
i like the repetition here because it sounds repetitive but it also is like, the music is always kind of stuttering, so its nice to know when! the transition at 1:00 to 4/4 is nice, but whats even nicer is the section at 1:05 where its very calming and all the sounds ECHO OUT into the void of space...and then the static drum pulls you back into the action...great stuff
