Again this is a reminder that wet markets /= wildlife markets. The majority of wet markets are for the sale of fresh meat and vegetables.

There is also an irony to your statement considering the seemingly most popular show right now is Tiger King which is about a guy who literally had 227 big cats at one point and had been breeding and selling them illegally for almost two decades.
