A "consistent funding stream that doesn't rely on for-profit insurers" means nothing when the hospital is losing money every time somebody walks in the door, because medicare doesn't pay them enough.

Small hospitals and private practices are already struggling under the current system, where the current solution is they get bought out by a larger hospital. So I don't really buy this as an issue unique to M4A.
