Mueller's report all but said "Look, if this was anyone other than the President we would be advising charges for basically everything up to and including treason. Unfortunately the DoJ says the President can't be indicted. Ain't that a bitch?" The report coming to nothing wasn't Mueller's fault, it was a failing of our system and of Congressional Republicans refusing to even consider that their boy had done anything wrong.

that's all well and good but that's also not what the media was doing beforehand, not what they were selling, and therefore wasn't what mattered. people remember pee tape, russia, russia, pee tape. maybe they'll remember manafort. beyond that it's 33 blobs of nothing.

to be clear, the claim here is that media is shit. this isn't a case of "well actually, what he really did was..." or anything like that. completely irrelevant. it's all about media being shit.

media hyped him up as the second coming of christ to get rid of trump.
he didn't. no matter what the logic is, he didn't.
so they dropped him.

this is all despite the fact that he should've never been trusted in the first place, which a proper press should have said. a proper press should have restrained themselves.
