I don't think he's miserable at all. Miserable implies he's overwhelmed with executing the duties of the highest office of the land. Quite the opposite, the guy just spends most of his time golfing and posting inflammatory bullshit on Twitter. And he's been protected by various lawsuits because of the fact that he's President, so he's sitting literally quite high.

Think about your average person trolling on facebook or twitter. More often than not it is a coping mechanism because they are miserable. At least, in my circle of friends, that's what I've noticed. Many have even admitted as such.

Not sure if that's the case here but just something to think about.
