That shit felt impossible as well past a certain point. smash is primarily a party game, a reality that not even pro smash players deny. the vast majority of those who buy smash play it how sakurai intends it, messing around with a shit ton of items and funky random ass stages. the pro players are the minority so it's kinda weird for a lot of people to take something marketed and meant as a party game and try to make it competitive. maybe this isn't the best analogy, but it feels like playing monopoly competitively https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZwmPBP2JHI like i look at that and i'm like.........really? same kind of feeling towards smash for me plus like 95% of smash players only care about THEIR smash game. i emphasize their because there's a huge divide within the community itself. while there are some exceptions, most smash players only care about THEIR smash game and don't even bother to try out or attempt to watch anything else. on the contrary, it's very common to see FGC players playing more than one FGC game and having some interest beyond their main/favorite series. for instance, my main game is street fighter 5 but i also like tekken 7 and soul calibur 6 and practice and play all 3 in online ranked, watch twitch streams for all 3 games when i can and i'm also going to get King of Fighters 15 when it comes out. it's very off-putting for a lot of FGC people like me to see a lot of smash players being so secluded and not giving a rat's ass about anything outside of their bubble plus this is just me but i flat out find smash boring and i don't like it. it can take SO LONG for a lot of matches to finish and i really hope that ultimate is the last game put on EVO this year (if EVO even happens) so it doesn't interfere with what i do want to watch <cite>BigBoobieHitomi posted [p:936460652] in Why is sma...
