Likely the same outcome if Batman was involved. If you watched the ending scene, they found several other people with powers or that was a superhero. One of them was Rainn Wilson's character from Super, which is basically Batman.
Wow, I remembered the ending scene but originally thought they were all just Brandon doing different things like swimming under water and whatnot. Basically just different eyewitness accounts of the same person in the sketches during the news report with Michael Rooker. I had to fast forward through one of those ending explains videos to see what was up. This makes makes me even more interested in seeing if a sequel will come out.
