They got addicted to PS1 actions games rather than JRPGs (which is why this analysis was so fascinating, it's like an alternate reality version of GameFAQs). Heck, going from 2018 results, we are even more addicted to the 90s than average gameFAQs, with new characters doing even worse. Granted everything in this bracket is new so it's hard to measure, but at least Bloodstained is a new franchise, and it is associated to a franchise that is probably top 3 in South America-faqs.
