Telltale really should've focused their resources into 2-3 strong series instead of going wide.

And this is coming from a huge Telltale fan. I loved their take on TWD, Wolf Among Us, Borderlands, and Game of Thrones.

But any indie author will tell you that you build a fanbase by writing a trilogy or series, not by writing a bunch of standalone books with series potential. Many audiences won't even touch a series until it's completed for fear of getting permanently stuck with a cliffhanger ending (See: Game of Thrones books).
