When I was young, I had a dog. When we bought him, he was sold to us as a golden retriever cross black Labrador.

Imagine our surprise when he developed Rottweiler markings.

He was without a doubt, the sweetest dog I have ever had. If he thought my mother or I was in danger, he would do a full-on Omen dog growl. It was a sound that could (and did) delivery men the fright of their lives. For us, he was a huge teddy bear. When I was still in primary school, my mother would bring him with her when she picked me up. As she would wait for me to come out of school, he would sit next to her and insist she held his paw.

However, one day he ate a chihuahua.
