alright, i'm on the sea!

Nose for Treasure?
nope, doesn't work on the sea. bummer. as i vroom in the ocean random encounters wtf. i've a clear location to go to but so many coastal areas that i might want to do those first. some pastword places too!

nearby coastal area comes first, little island second. i find that midboss i fought earlier in the dungeon, the Corolossus, as a random enemy. no problems here and he can drop items now too. think i'll do that.

Sylv gives me a bit of shit for landing here instead of the next town but don't care, we doin' this. first treasure is the first item of the Corolossus, which i stole anyway in an Itemized Kill. i beat a few new enemies, Half Inch is steadily getting better as it's just jacking loot on the first try. i also try and yes, i can summon my horse to run through the wild quicker. second chest is a Coral Hairpin, the other drop, going straight to Serena. hell yeah.

but hm. can this horse run through big monsters too...?
...no, it can't. guess i gotta fight another one of these. so i do, win, and mosey along, beating new enemies along the way. ...a shiny enemy? a shiny Slime Knight. i can ride a slime, sold.

this thing is a crappier horse with an arc slash that's very wide. it is, however, a slime being ridden as a bouncy ball with a chibi knight clinging onto it for dear life so i'm holding onto this. i find a well and go down it, getting a couple pearls along the way, and alas, my mount is gone. back to horsey. more monsters, more items, more areas i can't get to by order of the other knight who wants my neck. got it, this will be done later. also that area seems familiar... ah yes, that's where i fought the tricky devil, with a bridge that's busted. that too will likely be fixed later, as a nice shortcut.

alright, let's go to town, Puerto Valor. so Spanish, not Puerto Rico, got it. talk to NPCs, oh hey one gives me a bunch of new recipes to change the way things look, nice. there's 22 items and it has a casino. ...hm. gambling side quest for Veronica when? i get around town during the day talking to people, breaking items, getting treasure chests, then night comes and two quests show up. hell yeah i'm taking them.

the game talks a lot about the Don's kid being missing now. so is that Sylv or Erik?

game also talks about the kingdom that i'm from and how it happened to be destroyed one day to the next. ...so lemme get this straight, King Geros didn't burn down my hometown once, he burned it down twice? there's also NPC talk about the strong knight who i don't want to face yet, how great he is, and how this is his hometown, i think. was that or having a tragic past, i kind of got my wires crossed with all the extra people getting talked about. either way, running with the idea that he's being duped by the king and the guy i fought earlier who curses children isn't but just as big a villain.
