He was charged with aggravated battery and was arrested by Cape Coral Police The Fort Meyers Nutbag wa held on 15000 bond at Lee County Jail after his arrest in his apartment complex where it took place It was his THIRD arrest according to police as officers responded to a call at 11pm when they heard a woman screaming and walked in on Newell strangling her He had both his arms around her neck and failing to respond to police verbal commands, they had to apply a PAIN COMPLIANCE manuever on his neck He is accused of continuing assault by beating after she was crying out for him to get off her according to an officer.
