The virus has something like a 1% mortality rate with treatment, and probably more like 3-5% without treatment (which would be the relevant number for the vast majority of people if most of the country got it because we'd overwhelm the hospital system, which would also pretty much doom whoever else needed life saving treatment it in the meantime). wow, that low? not complaining obviously if it's the case, but I thought it was like 3% (which largely consists of people being treated in hospitals; untreated people wouldn't be counted in stats because, well, they're not being treated/diagnosed) --- another place and time, without a great divide, and we could be flying deadly high ...
