Although, this isn't a true dilemma since you can cheat and play on the 11.8x and only commit your points after the next hour already started. On top of that you can cancel the commit and get the 12x should the miracle occur. So gameplaywise, there's absolutely no reason to commit your points during the 11.8x hour but casual players don't know this. --- Link isn't the only one who kicks ass.
