If this was Majora's Mask, or LttP, I might pick it. Portables are really a gheto though, and Smash 5 is HUGE. At least until they release Smash 6, at least. LBW might perform respectably, but I don't think it stands a chance here. Winner: Smash Marvel's Spider-Man vs. DOTA 2 Remember what I said about neither casual nor e-sports meaning much here? It's easy to rally behind Spidey against something kids are into these days. People will get behind Spidey. It's freaking Spidey. Winner: Spidey Octopath Traveler vs. Shovel Knight After carrying our revenge for us, Octopath folds against something with more name recognition and less hate, and the little knight goes further than most indies ever have had. Winner: Shovel Knight DKC: Tropical Freeze vs Super Mario Odissey If this is not your first contest, you know how this goes. Nintendo has an hierarchy, and Mario and DK's positions in that hirarchy have been clear since the original Donkey Kong arcade game came out. This is not a match. Winner: Mario. ...
