I am not sure if it's considered obscure but there is this short film only like 30 minutes long, called Voices from a Distant Star I think. it's about a teenage girl who is recruited to fight a war in space. and her male classmate stays on earth. she sends back messages to him but due to space time distortion, the farther out she goes, the longer in earth time they take to arrive to him. and she's from her perspective still a teenager and only been gone a short time. but on earth years go by. and he grows up Fun fact: That movie was made by one guy in his garage. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
