...and the anime wasn't popular anymore because they made up their own horrible stories and went deep into filler hell, which was not ruled by the awesome Lord Shishio.
Reason for that though was the writing on the manga slowed down quite a bit, and they would've caught up fast in the middle of that third arc. So they waited it out with filler, show got cancelled in the meantime. Anime tragedy.
But heeelll yes Kenshin is the greatest, and the ending to the manga is beautifully satisfying.
