If anything, it does help the minnows, but obviously the purpose of it is to turn F2Ps to minnows. FEH was my favorite for the longest time too, when they were coming out with creative challenge battles, tempest trials, the rhythm game, the big maps with big squad, I really enjoyed it but quit when they were just churning out characters after characters for a good 3-4 months with no new content. I quit b4 the aether raids or whatever that sounded pretty interesting, but I've heard some horror stories about it that probably would've pissed me off if I still played.
