Say you get a Mystery item, 1 rare candy, 1 pokemon encounter, 500 stardust and 5 ultra balls just for participating in your 5 battles. This encourages weaker players to keep at it honing their teams/skills and also helps rural/ players a bit with TMs, Rare candies and balls/dust. While the other is for wins and is basically the same as it is now.
