I get that putting the picture and name is horrible but not something that warrants a public outreach of 30k. There have been people that get screamed at right to their faces that constantly stay professional and get chewed out you see it constantly on r/trashy, but I don't see 30k for those guys. Retail workers have had much worse than this lady. I get it if the guy doxed her and provided and address and she was getting threatened and people trashed her house and broke her windows why she would get 30k and I'd totally understand it. Otherwise, why would the guy claim he had a police report verifying the whole thing? I mean...come on. Compared to being yelled at and having your cash register and drinks poured over you. Your picture and your name posted on a tweet calling you a jerk for not following the law seems tame compared to that and not worthy of 30k public outreach in my eyes. It doesn't even seem like she was treated horribly in person considering the cops didn't arrest anyone. And again I know that it is a display model showing as 1 cent, but the cops supposedly came in and said the matter should be settled in court seems like they somewhat agreed with David. I wouldn't have but hey that's the court's job not mine. So not only is he possibly right but it doesn't seem like he treated her too horribly compared to most retail customer freakouts.
