The man ran them off the road becausethe kids were palying DING DONG DASH as a prank to ring on people's doorbells and run and hide waiting for people to come out. 3 other teens were in the car and injured but survived the accident as the ones who died were all 16. Daniel Hawkins, Drake Ruiz and Jacob Ivascu were killed Daniel and Jacob's younger brothers, 13 y/o Joshua Hawkins and Joshua Ivascu survived as well as 18 y/o Sergio Campusano A mother of one of the victms said the boys were celebrating Jacob's birthday and were playing DING DONG DASH, a prank where a doorbell is rung and the prankster runs way But Anurag Chandra was furious and chased them in his car and rammed their car from behind causing the deadly crash All 6 werein a Toyota Prius when it went off the road and hit a tree at 10:30pm in Temescal Valley as Chandra was arrested a short time later who is charged with murder with malice and assault with a deadly weapon.. The kids apparently "ran for their lives" when they saw he was following them and tried to escape but were unsuccessful after Chandra rammed their car directly into the tree. Police arrived to find 3 of the boys outside of the vehicle while the other 3 were dead inside It wasn't clear if the boys wore seatbelts either but given there were 6 in a 5 person seat vehicle, at least one wouldn't have been in a seatbelt Neither drugs or alcohol were involved as police are investigating if there's any relationship between Chandra and the boys All boys attended the same school when they were younger at the Olive Branch Church & School and were loved by all staff They were also members of the youth ministry at Corona's Northpoint Evangelical Free Church Have you ever played "Ding Dong Dash" before?
