One of the biggest problems is the feedback loop with politics is totally wanked. What Trump is doing to our political system and economy will take years to unfold, in some cases a generation. The average voter won't understand that their poor decision to elect Trump caused us the next financial collapse or the loss of a critical ally or many of the adversities we face in the future caused by his ineptitude. In some cases its actually the opposite. If a DEM gets elected they no doubt will be left with a broken economy and America in turmoil and in extension will be blamed for the mess by the uneducated. This will cause the average voter to blame them for America's downfall even though it was Trump's to begin with. No ones worried about the long term anymore. Our species deserves the way well end up going out soon.
