This is fucking stupid. 1. It was basically an opinion piece with one person saying "Well gee, one day this might happen." with no science given behind if such a thing would even be possible. 2. Hopefully a more developed society would work toward rehabilitation, rather than punishment. Making someone think they were in a room for 1000 years is gonna make them somehow be good moving forward? They were apparently high for those 1000 years, too, so likely havent been clear-headed enough to "think about what they did"
It's like someone in the 1700s discussing the types of horses we might have bred for transportation by today.
