In MGS1 after sniper wolf is killed you aquire her handkerchief. You can go back to the wolf cave, disguise with the box and one of the wolfs will pee on you which allows you to now travel freely in those caves without the wolves attacking.

The handkerchief lets you pass by them without attacking.

The pee box trick can't actually be done at that point in the game. It can only be done while Meryl is with you. It's also kinda messed up. You have to first kill all the adult dogs, then punch Meryl, then equip the box. If there are any adult dogs alive, they'll attack you instead.
