Just had our third kid in December. My six-year old got into games around the same age as yours. Mega Man X and Sonic were early favorites. He still loves both and he's stoked for the Sonic movie, we'll go see it and even if it's terrible I'm sure he'll love it. He plays the Switch and has made significant progress in Mario Odyssey. I've found maybe 150 moons but on his own he's closing in on 600. He likes Arms, and Blaster Master Zero. Kirby, and Tropical Freeze. And Hollow Knight! Needs help with that one but it surprises me how good he is at it. And he doesn't give up when he dies. Goes after his "ghost" and tries again :)

He's deleted my progress in a few games. Yooka-Laylee, for one, I have yet to finish because the game isn't as much fun in the beginning imo. Gets more fun later into the game, and I haven't been in the mood to play the opening chapters all over again.

My daughter likes games, too. She mostly plays mobile games geared at younger children.

I wrote a story about how my son would watch me play Dark Souls 3 on that board. I'll see if I can track it down...

Thats awesome. Bumbling knight lol.

Mason likes to say, "ha ha you died" as if dying wasnt enough lol.

And I actually think the sonic movie looks decent
