If you had any reading comprehension, you'd have seen I don't use my foot to flush.
And people breaking the handles doing that is cited as the main reason places go to automated flush toilets, if I recall correctly.

Tbh, Ive never heard of this... The handle breaking. Though, that just seems like they didnt know what they were doing. Or the handles were weak. People could theoretically push pretty hard. So, they should be built stronger.

I hate auto flush because it's way too damn sensitive. It'll just keep flushing like every min or so sometimes (definitely some are better than others, though). Extra annoying when it flushes while I'm putting a seat cover down and gets it wet.
Auto sink faucets are the opposite problem...seem to stop a lot while my hand's still under it, till I wave it around and get it to start again.

For the toilets, certain ones are better than others. And theyve gotten better over the years, as well... Like the brand new ones at my job on base work very well... No constantly flushing, for example.

For the sinks, same thing. Depends on each one. Ive had the problem with them going off. But they are getting better. The news ones, at the same job, work much better than any that Ive used before. They havent gone out while washing my hands yet. And come on faster, as well...

Its true that the older versions of these suck. But the newer ones are much better...
